Constant Change

If there is one thing you can count on it is change.  Change is a life constant and with us it is more often than some.  We have enjoyed being here in Texas and have met some truly wonderful people.  We will miss playing bridge with all the great bridge clubs here. We feel very blessed to have gotten to spend the first 5 months with our great grandson Hunter, he was so much fun and such a terrific baby, Sierra is a very good mom and does a great job with him and so does Matthew.  It was a rocky start for them but we feel confident in their abilities now and their determination as a family.  They are finally on the right track it seems and we couldn't be happier.  We all need a little boost sometimes when life overwhelms us.  Our oldest grandson Chance had surgery on another knee and is doing well and has started therapy again. He had a rough time with the anesthesia and had a bad reaction waking up.  He will go to High School next year and is very excited about it. He has been learning fly tying and has made some great flies. He is very good at detail kind of projects and using his hands to make things.  Our youngest grandchildren in Portland have started playing in  sports.  Cadence just had her 11th birthday and Tripton is now 7. They are pretty busy helping out on their little farm and just got pigs recently to raise.  They are big Trail Blazer fans and go to a lot of games.
We will be leaving Texas June 1st and heading to our final retirement destination, Hawaii.  We will actually leave memorial weekend heading to CA to ship our car.  It is half the cost from there and so is airfare. We have been making all the preparations  for the move since Easter.  The dogs had to have a lot of veterinary stuff done and labs.  Marmalade failed her FAVIN test, had to be .05 and she was 1.7 so had to have an additional rabies vaccine and another FAVIN draw.  Vet says she should pass this time and they were baffled as to why she failed first time.  She has had three rabies vaccines in her life but her level was still not in range. Andrew was very upset that she failed and has been worried about her passing next one.  They will NOT have to be quarantined as they are service animals but still have to meet requirements.  We gave most all the household stuff to Sierra and Matthew to take and we have sold the rest.  We buy new when we get to Hawaii.  To expensive to ship.  We have a nice resort community we will be living in, we picked a floor plan on a single level house (follow this link and it is Plumeria floor plan) http://www.carmelapartments.com/kapilina-beach-homes-ewa-beach-hi/floor-plans   We are going to the Leward side of the Island in Ewa Beach, if you google our address 6606 105th Street Ewa Beach, HI and look at satellite view.  Below is a map of the area.  We are at the channel entrance at Iroquois Point.
We will have two bedrooms and all are welcome to come visit.  We will be in Oahu in Ewa Beach area.  Below are some recent pictures of the family mostly grandchildren.  Enjoy!
