Getting Colder

  Had a great thanksgiving with Preston , Jen and the grandchildren at Preston's in Demascus.  We ate one of the turkey we killed and yummy.  The only problem was fitting it in the pan which was three times too small.  Had to go buy a pan and even then it only held a 25 lb bird so Preston cut ours in two pieces (north to South or was it east to west)  there was some discussion about that in the kitchen.  There is a video but the language is not for children or the light hearted.......Here is the spread of food.


 
We had a feast and Jenny's brother Brad and his girlfriend Julie came over as well.  The day after Thanksgiving we had a poker game Friday night with some of Preston and Jens friends.  Needless to say Andrew and I took them out of play slowly taking all their money.   I took out the son and one of his friends at same time then took out his friends wife.  Then dad took out one player and Jen.  It was down to Andrew and I for 1st and 2nd with Jen getting 3rd.

Well we are back up to Portland for a medical appointment at VA today Wednesday the 3rd of December.   We are just about done with Christmas gifts still working on one.  It will probably be just me and Andrew for Christmas and the son is having his in - laws over and we were there for Thanksgiving.  I got us a small ham if needed.  I started a "You've been Elf-ed game here in our park, and so far I see three I've been Elf-ed signs in doors, sooooo much fun making up baskets for someone to Elf!  Can't wait to see it all play out......      Merry Christmas Everyone and a Happy Prosperous New year!  Our Love

Closing Out the Year

     We are glad indeed to be at the end of 2015.  not one of our better years for sure.  We just wondered aimlessly this past year making one bad decision after another.  It seems since we had to leave Las Vegas when Andrew became sick we have been lost.  Our life was completely changed in a 6-8 month period very dramatically. It was very overwhelming for us and we had made good friendships and lasting bonds with people there in our community.  That was suppose to be our forever home.  Since leaving Vegas we have been to California, Oregon, Corpus Christie TX, Hawaii, and back to Oregon again. I am almost certain that we are home in Oregon to stay.  We may go for a few months in winter someplace but plan to stay here. We simply don't have the energy or desire to go again. At any rate we hope this next year graces us with stability and helps us to find our perfect spot here on the Oregon Coast to land.  We are looking to buy something here.  We have a couple things we are consideri

Summer Season

     Well we are off to a great summer here on the Oregon Coast! It has been a busy month for us as we moved from Ft. Stevens south to Tillamook county Park.  We have been enjoying the change and the park here, and an opportunity presented itself for us to manage another RV park close by also in Tillamook ( Wilson River RV Park ).  The park came under new ownership and he was given our names as somebody who could be his managers of the park.  We met with him last week and accepted the position.  The park has been neglected for the last year as it was being held by the bank and a property management company was overseeing the park.  Nothing a little elbow grease and few repairs can't fix.  It is a prime location for fishing and hunting as it sits right on the river, and of course there is all the attractions of the coast and Tillamook here as well.  We are excited for the challenge of this new adventure. Our Plans are like Jello Sometimes it just doesn't set!

 We had a change of plans, and came to California where we decided to sell the motor home.  We didn't expect it to sell in two days time.  We arrived to San Clemente on the 1st of December and sold motor home on 3rd.  We rented an apartment in the downtown (1 block over from Main Street Del Mar) area close to the beach.  We had a great holiday with some of the family and Shawn was home also.  We are enjoying being close to family and our new great grand baby is absolutely adorable.  She is the happiest baby I've ever seen.  We have gotten all our medical appointments under way and scheduled and it feels good to be in one place settled again.  We're enjoying walking the beach everyday and all the little shops and restaurants.  Don't miss the motor home it was a lot of stress for us and after Drew's stroke was just too much to handle.  We did enjoy our trips through the summer and made good use of it.  So now we are in San Clemente for at least a year we signed a leas
