Loving Life and Having Fun

     Summer with Chance is coming to an end, in spite of breaking his arm his first week here and being in a cast all summer we have had fun.  The rangers are throwing a party for him today to say thank you for helping in the Junior Ranger Program all summer.  They will miss him greatly, even offered to home school him if he stayed. Ha Ha!  He is ready to go home and see his friends and get ready for school, plus his sister is staying with them while Matt is away in the Army.  He rode in a helicopter, went out to sea fishing, learned about all kinds of things in the park and fished nearly every day or went clamming.  He also tolerated us old folks and helped us look for a house.  We finally purchased one we want on the Nehalem River.  We are doing some remodel work to get ready to move in at middle of August.  There are pictures below.  Also a video of the Helicopter ride.
       We are pretty excited today as our friends from Vegas Norm and Marilyn are coming to visit as they do their 3 week excursion on Oregon Coast and other parks.  Thinking of starting a business here on the coast as there is a need for this particular thing.  A Wedding chapel and wedding service with wedding packages.  There are numerous that want a beach wedding and no place here that helps coordinate it.  People have to bring to the beach folks from Portland.  So a friend and I are looking for a place to rent to start this out.  We had a perfect spot but someone else rented it before we could.  We are doing up our business plan currently.
     Also our granddaughter who most of you know and have met is now married and they are having a baby our first great grandbaby, a baby boy.  It is amazing the pictures and ultra sounds they get now days. We are super excited about that.  We are going to Hawaii on a 16 days cruise in October, that is the only place other than ground zero Andrew wants to go to so we are going to do both.  We are planning the NY trip for sure with our friends Michael and Janis and maybe they will want to do Hawaii again.  they have already been there.  Andrew has hung in there for the summer as a seasonal ranger at Ecola, he has been tempted to quit a few times but didn't want to disappoint them so is sticking it out.  He has good days and bad day and working everyday tires him a lot so he sleeps on days off.  Plus Chance wanting to fish the minute he walks in the door everyday tires him but he goes most the time.  Oh one last thing Buster and I went to Stampin Up convention with my friend Janis and had a blast, he was super duper great the entire trip.  It was loud daily and busy from 8am to 10pm daily for 4 days.  Super Fun!!!  Below are photos of new truck, house we bought (model homes), furniture is other persons still, and river is view off our porch and out window.  Then some of new baby coming!

Closing Out the Year

     We are glad indeed to be at the end of 2015.  not one of our better years for sure.  We just wondered aimlessly this past year making one bad decision after another.  It seems since we had to leave Las Vegas when Andrew became sick we have been lost.  Our life was completely changed in a 6-8 month period very dramatically. It was very overwhelming for us and we had made good friendships and lasting bonds with people there in our community.  That was suppose to be our forever home.  Since leaving Vegas we have been to California, Oregon, Corpus Christie TX, Hawaii, and back to Oregon again. I am almost certain that we are home in Oregon to stay.  We may go for a few months in winter someplace but plan to stay here. We simply don't have the energy or desire to go again. Summer Season

     Well we are off to a great summer here on the Oregon Coast! It has been a busy month for us as we moved from Ft. Stevens south to Tillamook county Park.  We have been enjoying the change and the park here, and an opportunity presented itself for us to manage another RV park close by also in Tillamook ( Wilson River RV Park ).  The park came under new ownership and he was given our names as somebody who could be his managers of the park.  We met with him last week and accepted the position.  The park has been neglected for the last year as it was being held by the bank and a property management company was overseeing the park.  Nothing a little elbow grease and few repairs can't fix.  It is a prime location for fishing and hunting as it sits right on the river, and of course there is all the attractions of the coast and Tillamook here as well.  We are excited for the challenge of this new adventure. Our Plans are like Jello Sometimes it just doesn't set!

 We had a change of plans, and came to California where we decided to sell the motor home.  We didn't expect it to sell in two days time.  We arrived to San Clemente on the 1st of December and sold motor home on 3rd.  We rented an apartment in the downtown (1 block over from Main Street Del Mar) area close to the beach.  We had a great holiday with some of the family and Shawn was home also.  We are enjoying being close to family and our new great grand baby is absolutely adorable.  She is the happiest baby I've ever seen.  We have gotten all our medical appointments under way and scheduled and it feels good to be in one place settled again.  We're enjoying walking the beach everyday and all the little shops and restaurants.  Don't miss the motor home it was a lot of stress for us and after Drew's stroke was just too much to handle.  We did enjoy our trips through the summer and made good use of it.  So now we are in San Clemente for at least a year we signed a leas
