Excited and Anxious
Well we have 8 more days till we can move into our new place. We are so excited to be getting settled again and out of the RV finally. Got our new Velvelour privacy shades yesterday for the new place. We have to paint in a few rooms and probably clean some too. Andrew gave his notice to the park manager that he was resigning and would not be back next year. He had a great experience this summer and I was happy he got to do it. He did real well, was tired and exhausted everyday but needed to do it for himself. Now he is ready to relax and enjoy. We also learned yesterday of a friend who passed after a battle with cancer back at the Meadows in Vegas. I had a lot of good times with Tina at poker and donuts on Wednesdays. She was a great gal!
The granddaughter is getting bigger and bigger each day, that is going to be a big baby boy I think. Got her invitations for her baby shower done and sent. Made several things for the baby now like burp cloths, blankets and other baby stuff. Went online and got the four items on her wish list she wanted us to get for the baby. They sure have some cool stuff now days. We got a letter from Mathew (her husband) and he is loving the Army so far and anxious to have her come there in another month or so. She is going to fly for his graduation. Talked to Chance last night and he is back in school and said he had three reports to do the first week and one test already. He and his dad have been going fishing a lot at the pier. He is using that new reel he got here and pole. We will have our two grandchildren Cadence and Tripton next week, so we are excited for that, they will be here thru the move to new place. Will spend the next month of September getting settled and then we are going on a cruise in October to Hawaii for 16 days from 18th - 3rd Nov then we will rent a car in California and drive to Vegas for a visit with friends and a few shows. Be back home around middle of the month. Then it will be about time for Christmas.
A friend and I are starting a business here out of home for now to see how it goes. It is called "A Day to Remember" (Event Planning). I am working on the web site currently and hope to have it up in place by the first of the month. We decided to do this as there are a lot of weddings here on the beaches and no one on this end of the coast does events. They need a place to get floral arrangements, tables chairs, Minister/Officiate, and we get calls daily at the parks wanting to arrange weddings here. The couples have to bring people from Portland here or do it themselves. So we will give it a try, we will offer all events that come along in life. Our overhead is low to start just needed tables , chairs, linens, stationary, certificates, license etc.... we both have talents in planning and my friend does floral design and I do invitations and other crafty stuff so we are putting our talents to work. Andrew will be the grill guy for catering we will offer two menu's. Most of the business will be in the summer months so we have the fall and winter to advertise and get ready. Well that wraps up all my news. We miss all our friends and are excited to go visit soon. We will miss all the ranger and the park here but we are still going to be here in another capacity.
