"Keeping Cool"

     Well we have 8 more days till we can move into our new place. We are so excited to be getting settled again and out of the RV finally.  Got our new Velvelour privacy shades yesterday for the new place.  We have to paint in a few rooms and probably clean some too.  Andrew gave his notice to the park manager that he was resigning and would not be back next year.  He had a great experience this summer and I was happy he got to do it.  He did real well, was tired and exhausted everyday but needed to do it for himself.  Now he is ready to relax and enjoy.  We also learned yesterday of a friend who passed after a battle with cancer back at the Meadows in Vegas.  I had a lot of good times with Tina at poker and donuts on Wednesdays.  She was a great gal!       The granddaughter is getting bigger and bigger each day, that is going to be a big baby boy I think.  Got her invitations for her baby s...

     Summer with Chance is coming to an end, in spite of breaking his arm his first week here and being in a cast all summer we have had fun.  The rangers are throwing a party for him today to say thank you for helping in the Junior Ranger Program all summer.  They will miss him greatly, even offered to home school him if he stayed. Ha Ha!  He is ready to go home and see his friends and get ready for school, plus his sister is staying with them while Matt is away in the Army.  He rode in a helicopter, went out to sea fishing, learned about all kinds of things in the park and fished nearly every day or went clamming.  He also tolerated us old folks and helped us look for a house.  We finally purchased one we want on the Nehalem River.  We are doing some remodel work to get ready to move in at middle of August.  There are pictures below.  Also a video of the Helicopter ride.        We are ...
