Summer Fun!!

Well let me say it has been an eventful and very busy summer for us.  Andrew is working as a Ranger at Ecola State Park (absolutely gorgeous).  Chance (14 now) has been here for the summer and working in the Junior Ranger Program for kids helping the Rangers.  In between that he found time to break his arm and skin up his knee good.  He was riding the bike in the park "NO HANDS" and crashed.  So he is spending most of his summer in a cast.  He went to our son's for a week to hang with his cousins and had a great time.  He went to a cooking camp with Cadence.  The Park here at Nehalem Bay has been slamming busy and at full capacity daily now for duration of the summer till end of September early October.  Along with hosting duties I am also doing a couple evening programs.  I do one on "The wonderful World of Sticks" and one on "Service Dogs and Working Dogs".  We do two programs daily here in the amphitheater, Junior Rangers (geared to kids 6 -12) and evening programs which are geared towards entire family (usually Educational of some kind).  I will load a schedule for example.
Along with all the busyness we are looking for a house to buy, the first one we had lined up the guys sold out from under us as he got a better offer.  The second one was a short sale we absolutely loved and our agent didn't get our bid in on timely manner and there was mis- communication issues.  Now finally we have one that looks like a for sure deal at this point.  There are some pictures below.  It is a manufactured home on double lot, 3 bd rm, 2 bath with a 12 foot deck around the entire house.  There is an exterior bldg. (Garage/work shop) that is huge inside with stainless steal sinks and counters on one side, counters and shelves on other side, wood stove inside and cable run to it.  Going to be a great crafting area.  Apparently the owner was an avid fisherman and used the area to clean fish and smoke them.  The Nehalem river is across the street with boat ramps and docks.  It is about 1 mile into town where our little boutique is at "The Painted Poppy".  We are very excited!  Andrew's health is stable as far as symptoms, and he feels pretty good most of the time.  He tires easily and is limited in activity. He will be going in September for his 6 month CT and Pulmonary Function testing.
We are looking forward to going to Las Vegas in September to visit, we also have some friends coming here to Oregon in August, so we are hoping to be in our new house by then.  In late September early October we are going on a trip with friends from California to New York for 10 days of sight seeing and shows.  This trip and a cruise to Hawaii are probably the last of our traveling as Andrew just isn't up to it any longer. Well that about wraps up all my news, oh except for our oldest granddaughter Sierra, married now and her husband just went into the Army is having a baby boy.  they will name him Hunter Stephen Brown and she is due around Andrew and our daughter birthday 3rd -6th of Nov.  Can you believe "Great Grandparents"  OMG.....We are old!  (see pic's below)
