Moving Forward

Image
Well its time to move forward again.  After spending the last 6 months here at Ft. Stevens as park hosts, we are moving on.  We have had a wonderful time here at the park and will miss all the rangers and the other hosts.  We will be just down the road south to Bar View at the Tillamook County Parks.  Bar View is between Garibaldi and Rockaway Beach, it is a big park and right on the beach and jetty.  Our friends Jimmy and Yvonne are there and helped us get the position there.  We are very excited to move there.  The site looks great, big on a corner with grass, flowers a few tree's, and one of the benefits the park gives is 100 gallon propane tank for each host. The dogs will love the grass and no pine needles.  We are going to be starting a mail forwarding service for those full time RV'rs, Boaters, Expats and anyone who lives mobile.  When we lived on the boat for 12 years we had to use a mail service as you can't get pkgs and  items delivered to P. O. Box you must

"Spring Break"

Image
Well we are just about through the season of spring break here at the Fort Stevens State Park.  Our spring break here lasts about two months since we cover several breaks from different States (Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Canada).  We have been very busy and will stay that way till October now.  April brings the Astoria/Warrenton Crab & Seafood Festival on 22-25th.  We had our State wide beach clean up and made a real haul.  Andrew and I worked Sunset Beach in Warrenton and had well over 200 people on our section of beach and at least 2000 or more pounds of debris gathered (See photo below).       I brought in the month of April with a bang, when the Yurt cleaning supply golf cart caught fire and burnt to the ground  also taking out a second golf cart with it. It was an exciting afternoon in the park that day (see picture).  It could have been much worse than it was I was blessed that day.  We decided to stay put thru the summer and just be still.  We have had a rough year wit
