"Keeping Cool"

     Went over to Fort Clatsop on Saturday to the Fort. There is the Fort replica and nice museum and gift shop in the park.  Below are some pictures and also  pictures of my new bike.              

     Well the New Year started off with a fall out of the RV or slip I should say on the steps then the fall.  I buggered me-self up really good.  Nothing broke thank goodness but bruised and cut up good and really sore can't hardly move about. Which gives me time to work on my quilt full time.  Got the quilt all pinned with the help of my fellow host pals who also sew and are giving me some tips and helpful hand.  This is my first big quilt other than baby rag quilts and small ones. I'm excited about it! I an hand stitching around all those half moon squiggly things in the color of the shapes.      We are going to the community crab feed Friday with park friends which will be cool to try out.  Other wise just working the park, playing bingo, quilting, riding my new bike till my recent fall.  Waiting on Andrews social security results from the hearing, then will plan our next steps for April time frame.  Ho...

     One of my favorite celebrations is the New Year!  It is a time to review all things and an opportunity to start over fresh with a clean slate. I call Do Overs!  Its that simple. So far the new year is off to a great start. Looking forward to all that it brings for us.  We are still here at Ft. Stevens State Park, and have committed to be here till March for now.  We are still waiting for decision on social security for Andrew.  We have had a lot of rain this winter with flooding and soggy grounds.  Now it has turned a bit colder and icy. I got a new bike, so have been riding some and taking the dogs along.  Andrew will get his bike next month, we wanted good bikes so can't afford to buy both at once, plus we hade a custom basket put on mine and will his also. Been going to the pool every evening and doing a workout.
